The Finance Department administers the Town's financial management and budgeting system, optimizing cost and quality control through
centralized procurement, administering an equitable property assessment program, and overseeing the collection of all revenue. In
addition, the Department monitors the Town's financial position through an accounting and debt management program, acts as the liaison
with the retirement fund's investment manager and fund custodian, prepares the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, maintains a
fixed asset accounting and reporting system, and prepares a budget that meets the requirements of the Government Finance Officers
Association's Distinguished Budget Award Program.
