Tax Collection

The Tax Division is responsible for the collection of the Town of Groton's taxes as well as collection for nine taxing districts, political subdivisions, and the Groton sewer district. Additionally, the Tax Division is responsible for the billing and collection of twenty-two sewer benefit assessment systems, two water benefit assessment systems, residential and commercial sewer use, commercial solid waste and landfill accounts.

    FYE 2010 Estimated State funds will be $34,295,622 and without that amount the Town mill rate of 17.95 mills would be 26.11 mills.
