Welcome to the Town of Groton Police Department's web site. Speaking for the entire department, we are happy to share some of the highlights of our shoreline community and the various policing programs that we have implemented.

As Chief of Police, I am fortunate to have a staff that takes pride in their department, serving the community and residents in many ways. Our department's strength lies in the fact that for a mid-size department we are very specialized and offer the community over one hundred special programs.

We have a very strong Community Policing based program that encompasses the entire town and provides many programs that benefit residents of all ages. This program has been in place for five years, with residents and officers working together effectively to improve area neighborhoods as well as the community as a whole.
