Supervisor of Technical Services : Greg Hanover

A wide variety of technical and professional engineering services are performed by staff members in this Division. The staff performs surveys, studies and investigations, capital improvement program development, field surveys, design and cost estimating for construction, contracting and contract administration; preparation of maps, records, and construction status records and reports, assistance in public works maintenance, repair and reconstruction work. The Design Staff is also involved with the construction of streets, sidewalks, bridges, culverts, sanitary sewers, building and drainage structures. The Engineering Division staff is responsible for the proper construction of all public improvements undertaken by subdividers and builders, and acts as engineering consultants to other Town Departments and Commissions during the approval process. Additionally, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and the Geographic Information System (GIS) are becoming an integral part of the Division.
