RESIDENTIAL TRANSFER STATION - FLANDERS ROAD

HOURS: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

DAILY PASSES: Transfer Station passes are $10 per day, and are purchased at the Transfer Station for cars and pick-ups. (Proof of residency required.)
   

TRIP TICKETS:

Transfer Station passes are $30 per trip for:
  • dump trucks less than 5cy*
  • cube vans
  • step vans
  • box trucks
  • trailers exceeding 10' in length
  • stake body vehicles
  • *Dump trucks 5cy and larger are deemed commercial and are not allowed to use the Residential Transfer Station.
       
    ANNUAL PERMITS: Yearly hangtag permits (effective July 1st—June 30th) for Residential Bulky Waste are $65 per year, per household. Contact Public Works at (860) 448-4083 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm about purchasing yearly permits. Certain vehicle restrictions apply.
       
    PERMIT SALES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR THAT BEGINS ON JULY 1, 2009
    WILL COMMENCE ON JUNE 20, 2009.

    PRESENTATION OF CURRENT VEHICLE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN YOUR YEARLY HANGTAG. HANGTAG MUST BE DISPLAYED ON VEHICLE TO WHICH IT IS ASSIGNED.

    THE TRANSFER STATION ACCEPTS THE FOLLOWING:

    • Newspapers & Magazines
    • Corrugated Cardboard
    • Bottles & Cans
    •       Contact your hauler for disposal options for above items.
    • Grass Clippings - Compost or mulch on lawn.
    • Clean Fill - dirt, rocks, asphalt, cement/concrete/cinder blocks, bricks
    • Household Hazardous Waste (see below)
