Staff in this division operates the water pollution control wastewater collection system and secondary treatment facility. This facility is fully funded through the collection of user fees. Staff performs the necessary functions to keep the system and facility continuously operational at maximum efficiency and is responsible for the collection, treatment and discharge of effluent. Employees maintain and repair equipment, instrumentation, facilities, and sewer lines; they trouble-shoot malfunctions; oversee inventory; respond to alarms; and respond to citizen concerns. Numerous samples are collected by staff and bacteriological examination performed.
